Well, it was only a matter of time before someone managed to get OS X up and running on the Surface Pro. Seeing as the hardware is compatible with some of the Apple products out on the market, it was more or less inevitable that the Pro would support OS X with only a few minor tweaks.

The Surface Pro is powered with an Intel Core i5 and hardware similar to the one found on low-end Mac devices, therefore running OS X on this device sounds feasible, just like other PC’s that are capable of running tweaked versions of OS X.

Now, it is certainly possible that the Pro is using a remote desktop application to make it appear that OS X is running natively but you will notice that WiFi is not working which does make it look like the install was native.

Take it with a grain of salt or three - and bear in mind that this could just be an elaborate hoax - but there you have it, Microsoft’s pride and joy running a competitor's OS.

Windows RT only allows user to install ARM based applications from app store. It seems no way to run Desktop Apps and other OS platforms like linux or Mac OS. However, a developers “netham45” has released a batch file on the XDA website.

The all-in-one program calls RT Jailbreak Tool Version 1, which exploits and modifies a specific area of the Windows RT kernel. With it, you can easily jailbreak Windows RT tablets including Surface. But I am not sure if the data is secure while jailbreaken.
